Investigation into reports that Bull Sharks from the Gulf of Mexico have swam inland up the Mississippi River as far as the state of Illinois and also reports of Greenland Sharks killing Caribou along the St. Lawrence River seaway.

A month on and the BP off-shore rig spill is still flowing into the Gulf of Mexico. Rust colored oil has washed into marshlands and the Mississippi River, endangering wildlife and nature reserves on the American coastline. Big business seems reluctant to take responsibility for the clean up and locals fear they are on the brink of a ecological disaster.

Okay, so we’re at practice on this hot night and the june bugs are EVERYWHERE. Our drummer Nik was so close to the lights that he was getting bombarded with aerial attacks from every direction. Tony gets hit in the lip before he starts singing – see his reaction.

Sequence from 2009 thesis film – “The Great Delta Bear Affair” – in partial completion of the requirements for my MFA in science and natural history filmmaking from Montana State University.

This sequence was shot in Greenville, Mississippi, and is a study of the old and new River bridges. The otter was a special gift that morning.

This is how we spent Fathers Day afternoon after a beautiful night of sandbar camping on the Mississippi River. At least we got our camp all packed up before the heavens opened up on us. We had to cruise about 15 miles, lock thru a lock and dam, and then do another 15 miles up river to get back to the boat landing.. In this beautiful pouring rain.. lol
