i think someone is pulling your leg if it were true i am sure there would be some news about it

i caught a 63 pound blue catfish at perry lake in kansas a couple years ago with chicken hearts & cheese & it was not even close to the kansas record so i am sure there are some bigger than the 47 pound record they just havent been caught yet

How big do catfish get in Pennsylvania?
My brother has been telling me about a fella he works with who insists he pulls 20-30 pound catfish out of the Schuylkill River right outside of Philadelphia. As a matter of fact, a picture was posted on the local fishing site of an 80 pound cattie landed a couple weeks ago in Pa. This doubles the state record. I haven't seen the picture yet. I find this hard to believe.

The reason he says they are so big is about 7 or 8 years ago they stocked the area with tons of small catties that finally grew to the monster sizes.

I don't believe this but really want too! Catfishing is my favorite kind of fishing. I know there are some big ones in there because I've been pulling huge ones out of the Schuylkill for the past 20 years but never seen them at the sizes he claims.

So, what's the scoop?

thanks in advance!
