@TRANSFORMER2508 I spent a lot of time on the Tennessee River in Kentucky and saw the tows all the time. There were several hads who parked their own boats at the marina I was at and they always had interesting stories to tell. I missed my calling by not going to work on a two when I had the chance. I would have loved the life. :o )

@ronewi39 Good luck. I bought a houseboat in Iowa and when winter came, I took it down the river and over to Kentucky lake. It was quite a trip. The tows are pretty good, just have a marine band radio on and talk to them, ask their intentions, and what side you should pass on. That’s what I did, and everything went pretty good. Lot of fun for sure.

It’s amazing how much of the river is set up for these boats. They are called “Tow” boats by the people on them, not tug boats, which I always called them. Actually pretty good work if you can get it. Would offer a lot of photo opps along the way, heh?
