On Saturday 20 August The American Club of Auckland gathered talented Americans and New Zealanders to showcase some of the rich cultural history of the Mississippi River. The Museum’s atrium came alive with the sounds of America’s southern states with jazz, blues and a dose of country putting the crowds in mind of the great Mississippi. Visitors also enjoyed modern dance, Irish clog dancing and readings from American literature.
